Deshaun Watson‘s unhappiness with the Houston Texans could force a move and one potential landing spot is the Miami Dolphins, according to Chris Mortensen of ESPN.
Watson has reportedly been “extremely unhappy” with the organization for their insensitivity to social justice, including its hiring practices after the team failed to interview Chiefs offensive co-ordinator Eric Bienemy. This comes after the team didn’t include him in the team’s general manager search, which resulted in the hiring of Nick Caserio.
The 25-year-old Watson signed a four-year, $156-million contract extension with Houston back in September that includes a no-trade clause. However, the quarterback would consider a move to the Dolphins in a deal that would likely include Tua Tagovailoa and the first- or second-round pick that the Texans traded to Miami.
The Texans posted an underwhelming 4-12 season in 2020, though Watson enjoyed tremendous personal success, throwing for a league-best 4,823 yards with 33 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
