Brees found running back Latavius Murray for a nine-yard completion in the third quarter of the Saints Christmas Day game against the Minnesota Vikings. The 41-year-old only needed 154 yards to reach the milestone.
In his second game back from his rib injury, Brees completed 19 of 26 throws for 311 yards. The Saints quarterback is the NFL’s all-time passing yards leader and is second behind Tom Brady for touchdowns by a quarterback.
