Another first for Sarah Thomas.
The 47-year-old is set to make history at next month’s Super Bowl LV where she will become the first woman to officiate in the NFL’s championship game after being tabbed to serve as a down judge.

Thomas has previously made the history books for being hired as the first full-time, female NFL official in 2015, being the first woman to earn an on-field assignment for a playoff game and, most recently, being a part of the first NFL game with a female official and female coach when the Washington Football Team and Cleveland Browns faced off at the end of September.
