Despite a plethora of rumours that Pete Carroll could retire at the end of the season, the Seattle Seahawks head coach has seemingly confirmed he plans to return to the team for his 15th campaign.
The 72-year-old Carroll, who has coached Seattle since 2010, said on "Seattle Sports" he plans to be coaching the Seahawks next year.
“I’m not worn out. I’m not tired. I need to do a better job.” said Carroll.
Despite starting the season 6-3, the Seahawks finished with a 9-8 record.
Seattle had a four-game losing streak that ultimately sunk its season, as the Seahawks were officially eliminated due to the Green Bay Packers (9-8) clinching the final NFC wild card spot in the post-season due to a strength of schedule tiebreaker.
The Seahawks have missed the playoffs twice in the past three years.
