The Texans have lost their starting tight end.
Dalton Schultz has been ruled out for the rest of Houston's divisional playoff game against the New England Patriots, the team announced.
Schultz sustained the injury in the first quarter. He had a pivotal 42-yard reception to put the Texans in the red zone, setting up a field goal.
The six-foot-five pass catcher was Houston's second leading receiver in the regular season, putting up 777 yards and three touchdowns in 17 games.
Additionally, Texans running back Woody Marks was downgraded to questionable for the remainder of the game due to a shoulder injury.
