The Super Bowl is an annual rite of passage that allows any and every sports fan the ability to believe they are a seasoned gambler.
Two weeks ago, Dave from Kelowna may not have been able to tell you whether the Chiefs would defeat the Bengals by 7.5 points. However, now that it’s the Super Bowl, annually the single largest day of gambling on the sports calendar, Dave from Kelowna, Ashley from Hamilton and every other Canadian is ready to dive headfirst into some action.
Included in that list is, of course, Tim Micallef, host of the aptly named Tim and Friends. And now you’ll be able to see what Tim, along with digital producer Jesse Rubinoff, will be sprinkling on thanks to a concoction developed by the Tim & Friends crew.
It’s time for… the Tim & Friends Super Bowl Prop Bet EXTRAVAGANZA.
Who will win? Who will be Super Bowl MVP? How long will the national anthem be? Will Snoop Dogg smoke something during the halftime performance? Tim and Jesse’s answers to those questions, and more, will be revealed when they dive into our prop bet pool.
There’s also an opportunity for you all to let Tim and all of his friends (that includes you) know how you did in the pool by tweeting at us (@timandfriends) or tagging us on Instagram (@timandfriends) along with the hashtags #TFProps and #SNBets with your results. A few lucky participants will be chosen to receive some free swag.
But we’re not done yet… Tim and Jesse have also placed a side bet on the results of the prop bet pool.
If Tim comes away as the winner, then Jesse will be banned from dancing on the show for one full week, and dancing in his chair at his small side desk is something Jesse holds very close to his heart. But speaking of Jesse’s small side desk, if he were to come away with more correct answers than Tim, well the tables will very literally turn as Tim will conduct the show's opening segment, First Thing’s First, from the small side desk, while Jesse will get to drink in the atmosphere at the big table.
