Dairus 'Big Play' Slay is hanging up his cleats.
The veteran corner announced his retirement from the NFL on Monday after 13 seasons.
"Dear football, I wanna thank you for all you've done for me," Slay posted on social media. "I've been blessed to play the game I loved since I was 5yrs old for an amazing 13yrs at the highest level.
"Football was my peace, my joy, my everything. This game put me in position to help me help take care of my family and I'm forever grateful. It's hard to say goodbye, but God has a new chapter for me and I'm ready to turn the page and start my new journey."
Slay was a six-time Pro Bowler over his time in the league, split between the Detroit Lions, Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers. He finishes his career with 28 interceptions, including what was a league-high eight in 2017 when he was a member of the Lions.
He also won a Super Bowl as a member of the Eagles two seasons ago.
Slay, 35, started nine games for the Steelers last season before he was released by the team.
He was claimed by the Buffalo, but then told the Bills he would not report to the team and would instead contemplate retirement.
