Vikings running back Dalvin Cook has officially been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks with an ankle injury.

Cook had been questionable to play despite not taking the field in practice this week.

Alexander Mattison will be the Vikings' No. 1 running option against Seattle while Ameer Abdullah will dress for the game as well after recently being elevated from the taxi squad.

Cook rushed for 131 yards in Minnesota's Week 2 loss to the Arizona Cardinals but injured his ankle in that game. The two-time Pro Bowler averaged a career-high 111 yards per game last season.
