Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones will miss Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers with a nagging hamstring injury.
Interim head coach Raheem Morris confirmed the news to reporters Friday.
Jones has been dealing with hamstring issues for most of the season and missed the Falcons’ Week 12 game against the Raiders as a result. He was able to play in Week 13 against the Saints, where he caught six of 10 targets for 94 yards in a loss.
The 31-yard-old is averaging 85.7 yards per game this season, his lowest mark since 2012 — but still seventh in the league — and has scored three touchdowns.
