When Tennessee Titans star Derrick Henry’s went down with a long-term injury earlier this month, Indianapolis Colts second-year running back Jonathan Taylor didn’t waste any time filling that power vacuum.
In the three games Taylor has played since his AFC South rival went down, the University of Wisconsin standout has rushed for 473 yards and a career game Sunday in a 41-15 upset of the Buffalo Bills saw him officially leapfrog Henry for the NFL lead in rushing yards and touchdowns.
Taylor ran for 185 yards and four touchdowns, adding 19 receiving yards and TD reception, and from a fantasy football perspective, Taylor joined the elusive 50-burger club.
The 22-year-old finished his day with 50.4 standard fantasy points, becoming the eighth player in NFL history to have such a game.
Although the majority of fantasy managers that have Taylor on their team used his performance to coast to an easy victory, not all were so fortunate.
