The Cincinnati Bengals are retaining defensive end B.J. Hill for three years on a contract worth $30 million, with $15 million coming in the first season, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports.

Hill was a solid addition to the Bengals in 2021 after playing three seasons with the New York Giants. He tallied career-highs in tackles (46) and solo tackles (25), and tied his rookie season-high of 5.5 sacks in 16 games for the Bengals.

He was also a key piece in the playoffs, including the Bengals’ AFC Championship win over the Kansas City Chiefs, where he recorded an interception. Hill should continue to play an important role in Cincinnati as the Bengals try to build on last season’s Super Bowl appearance.
