The Minnesota Vikings signed running back Ameer Abdullah from their practice squad, the team announced on Saturday.

The move adds running back depth to a team headlined by Dalvin Cook, who is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks with an ankle injury.

As a result of Abdullah being signed to the active roster, the Vikings waived offensive tackle Blake Brandel. Guard Dakota Dozier and cornerback Parry Nickerson have also been upgraded to the active roster.

Playing in his seventh season, Abdullah has 359 carries, 1,412 rushing yards and six touchdowns through 76 games played with the Lions and Vikings.
