Andre Burakovsky has signed a five-year deal with the Seattle Kraken worth $5.5 million per season.

Burakovsky, coming off a Stanley Cup win this past season with the Colorado Avalanche, was a sought-after unrestricted free agent for depth. The left winger had career highs in goals (22), assists (39) and points (61) through 80 games this season, adding another eight points in 12 playoff games.

Burakovsky, 27, was a first-round pick, 23rd overall, by the Washington Capitals in 2013.

In 519 games with the Capitals and Avalanche, the Austrian has 123 goals and 172 points for 195 points. In 93 career playoff games, he has 20 goals and 27 assists for 47 points.

Burakovsky is coming off a two-year deal that was worth $4.9 million a year.
