The Bruins selected Poitras in the second round, 54th overall, in the 2022 NHL Draft. He has three goals and five points in nine NHL games this season.
In other Bruins news, star defenceman Charlie McAvoy will have a hearing for a hit he levelled on Panthers defenceman Oliver Ekman-Larsson on Monday. McAvoy was given a game misconduct on the play.

"Thanks everyone for all the support over the last few weeks," Dach wrote. "Road to recovery starts now!"
The Canadiens shut Dach down for the season on Oct. 17. The 22-year-old had two assists in two games before his injury.
