Auston Matthews keeps adding his name to the Toronto Maple Leafs record book.
With an assist on William Nylander's third-period goal on Monday, the captain became the fastest player in franchise history to reach the 800-point milestone, doing so in just 703 games.
He surpassed previous record-holder Darryl Sittler, who hit 800 in 742 games in 1980.
The 2022 league MVP is off to another hot start, with nine goals and 11 assists in 14 games.
Matthews has produced at a point-per-game clip in all but two seasons in his 10-year career.
His most productive season came in 2023-24, when he scored 69 goals and registered 107 points en route to his third Rocket Richard Trophy.
Though the Maple Leafs lost Monday's game, Toronto still sits third in the Atlantic Division with a 7-5-2 record.
