The Colorado Avalanche have cancelled the team's morning skate after receiving one positive test result for COVID-19, the club announced Friday.

Bowen Byram, the team's fourth-overall pick from 2019, has since been added to the NHL's COVID Protocol list.

When announcing the cancellation of their morning skate, the Avalanche said the person who tested positive for COVID-19 is in isolation and all other test results on the team came back negative.

Colorado is currently in Anaheim, set to play a pair of games against the Ducks on Friday and Sunday. They played two games in Minnesota earlier this week, on Monday and Wednesday.
