The Colorado Avalanche have signed forward Evan Rodrigues to a one-year, $2-million contract, the team announced Monday.
Rodrigues set career highs in goals (19), assists (24) and points (43) total in 82 games last season for the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The centre skated in every regular season contest in 2021-22, the only Penguins player to do so, and finished fifth on the team in goals, sixth in points and tied for sixth in assists.
The Toronto native recorded seven power-play goals, tied for fourth on the team. and produced five points from three goals and two assists in seven Stanley Cup Playoff games.
The 29-year-old has totalled 129 points on 53 goals and 76 assists in 316 career NHL games with the Buffalo Sabres and Pittsburgh.
