Avalanche sign forward Sheldon Dries to one-year contract

The Colorado Avalanche announced the signing of forward Sheldon Dries to a one-year contract on Friday.

Dries, 25, played in four games for the Avalanche this past season and made his Stanley Cup Playoff debut in Game 7 of Colorado’s series against the Dallas Stars.

Dries also spent time with the AHL’s Colorado Eagles, recording a team-high 21 goals along with 14 assists in 50 games last season.
