Avalanche sign goaltender Peyton Jones to one-year deal

The Colorado Avalanche have signed goaltender Peyton Jones to a one-year contract for the 2020-21 season.

Jones, 24, will report to the AHL's Colorado Eagles.

The Langhorne, Penn., native started this season with the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL, posting a 4-2-1 record in eight games with a 3.10 goals-against average and a .889 save percentage.

Jones spent 2016-20 at Penn State where he finished his collegiate career as the program's all-time leader in games played/started (133), wins (76), saves (3,685) and shutouts (4).
