Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog was added to the NHL's COVID Protocol List on Thursday, along with Buffalo Sabres' Jake McCabe and Minnesota Wild's Nico Sturm, Sportsnet's Chris Johnston reported.

The news comes a day after the Wild added five players to the list, their total now up to seven. The New Jersey Devils, meanwhile, have 17 players on the list.

The NHL has postponed a number of games recently as a result of numerous players being put on the COVID Protocol List.

On Monday, the league announced the Devils would not play any games until Feb. 6 at the earliest, with the club's number of players on the protocol list at 10 at that time. On Tuesday, it was announced that the Sabres would not play until Feb. 8 at the earliest, after facing the Devils in a back-to-back on Saturday and Sunday.

Thursday's game between the Avalanche and Wild has also been postponed.
