Defenceman Ben Hutton is set to join the Anaheim Ducks on a professional tryout agreement, per Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.

The 27-year-old from Brockville, Ont., had 16 points in 65 games with a lowly Los Angeles Kings squad in 2019-20, with whom he signed a one-year, $1.5-million deal in the off-season.

Hutton had previously spent the first four seasons of his career with the Vancouver Canucks after being selected by the club in the fifth round of the 2012 NHL Draft. His most productive campaign came in his rookie season when he had 25 points in 75 games.

Over the course of his career, Hutton has collected 86 points in 341 games.
