The Chicago Blackhawks have signed forward Adam Gaudette to a one-year, $997,500 contract extension, the team announced Monday.

The 24-year-old, who was traded to Chicago from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for Matthew Highmore on April 12, put up 11 points in 40 games last season, including four points in seven contests after joining the Blackhawks.

Gaudette put up career-highs in goals (12) and points (33) across 59 games in the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign.

The six-foot-one, 170-pound pivot was originally selected in the fifth round (149th overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft.
