Oliver Moore has his first big NHL contract.
The Chicago Blackhawks are signing the young forward to a five-year, $21.25-million contract extension worth $4.25 million in average annual value, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported Thursday.
Moore will play the 2026-27 season on the final year of his entry-level deal before the extension begins in the 2027-28 season.
The 21-year-old forward made his NHL debut with Chicago two seasons ago when he appeared in nine games and recorded nine assists.
He appeared more regularly in the lineup last season, registering five goals and 14 assists over 51 games.
The Blackhawks selected Moore with the 19th-overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.
