Blackhawks sign goalie Malcolm Subban to two-year extension

Fresh off signing a new deal with the Chicago Blackhawks, Malcolm Subban says he's prepared for this opportunity to compete for number one goalie status his entire career.

Goaltender Malcolm Subban has signed with the Chicago Blackhawks to a two-year extension, the team announced Friday.

The extension carries an annual cap hit of $850,000.

Subban, 26, was traded to Chicago from the Vegas Golden Knights last season — in a move that sent Robin Lehner to Vegas — and skated in just one game for the Blackhawks.
