The Chicago Blackhawks are retiring Hall of Famer Marian Hossa's No. 81 jersey on Nov. 20 in a ceremony at the United Center, the team announced Wednesday.
Hossa is the eighth player to have his jersey hung from the rafters by the Blackhawks.
Hossa played with the franchise from 2009 to 2017 and signed a ceremonial one-day contract to retire with the Blackhawks on April 7, 2022.
With the Blackhawks, Hossa won three Stanley Cups in 2010, 2013 and 2015, and registered 525 goals and 1,134 points in 1,309 career NHL games.
The Stará Lubovna, Slovakia native, a five-time NHL All-Star, played for the Ottawa Senators, who drafted him in 1997, as well as the Atlanta Thrashers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Detroit Red Wings and Blackhawks.
Part of the 2020 class of the Hockey Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility, Hossa was inducted alongside Jarome Iginla, Kevin Lowe, Kim St-Pierre and Doug Wilson.
