The Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired goaltender Malcolm Subban from the St. Louis Blues in exchange for future considerations, the team announced Friday.
The 30-year-old goaltender has been assigned to their AHL affiliate, the Cleveland Monsters. In 31 games with the Springfield Thunderbirds of the AHL this season, Subban has maintained a 2.94 goals-against average and .907 save percentage.
Over his 202 career AHL games with the Falcons, Rochester Americans, Rockford IceHogs and Providence Bruins, he has posted a 2.62 goals-against average and .912 save percentage.
Drafted by the Boston Bruins 24th overall in 2012, Subban has appeared in 86 NHL games over his professional career, recording a 3.10 goals-against average and .898 save percentage. The Toronto native has not played in the NHL since the 2021-22 season, but has previously spent time with the Buffalo Sabres, Chicago Blackhawks, Vegas Golden Knights and Bruins.
