Columbus Blue Jackets forward Gustav Nyquist will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a shoulder injury, the team announced Wednesday.
Nyquist suffered the injury on Jan. 25 against the Edmonton Oilers, but will not require surgery for the injury.
In 48 games this season, Nyquist has 10 goals and 12 assists for 22 points.
The 33-year-old is a pending unrestricted free agent and was considered a likely candidate to be dealt at the March 5 NHL trade deadline.
