The Columbus Blue Jackets will have to cross their fingers.
Star centre Sean Monahan exited Tuesday's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins with an upper-body injury, the team announced.
Monahan assisted on Dmitri Voronkov's game-opening goal for his eighth point in the past four games.
He has 14 goals and 27 assists for 41 points in 41 games this season.
After the team's 4-3 shootout win, coach Dean Evason said Monahan would be evaluated again when the Blue Jackets return home.
Monahan, 30, signed a five-year, $27.5-million deal with the Blue Jackets this past off-season after playing last season with the Montreal Canadiens and Winnipeg Jets.
