The Columbus Blue Jackets have inked defender Gavin Bayreuther to a one-year, two-way deal, the club announced Friday.
The 26-year-old spent the past season with the Dallas Stars’ AHL affiliate, posting 29 points in 59 games for the club.
Bayreuther’s appeared in 19 career NHL games, all for Dallas in 2018-19. He posted 10 points in that span.
Prior to his move to the pro level, he spent four years at St. Lawrence University.
Terms of the defenceman’s deal were not officially disclosed.
