The COVID-19 woes continue for the St. Louis Blues, with the announcement before Thursday's game against the Tampa Bay Lighting that defenceman Justin Faulk has been put into protocol.

Faulk, 29, has four goals and six assists for 10 points in 22 games this season.

Earlier in the day, the Blues placed Stanley Cup-winning goalie – and potential member of Team Canada's Olympic team – Jordan Binnington in COVID-19 protocol, forcing them to use an emergency backup against Tampa.

Faulk and Binnington join forward Tyler Bozak as Blues players in virus protocol. The Blues are also without injured forwards David Perron, James Neal and Klim Kostin.
