Blues sign Robert Thomas to eight-year, $65M contract extension

St. Louis Blues centre Robert Thomas has signed an eight-year, $65 million extension with the club, the team announced.

Thomas, 23, notched a career-best 77 points (20 goals, 57 assists) in 72 games with the Blues last season.

The native of Aurora, Ont., has 164 points (42 goals, 122 assists) in 241 career games with the Blues.

The Blues selected the London Knights product 20th overall in the 2017 NHL Draft.

Thomas was dealt to the Hamilton Bulldogs in 2018 and was playoff MVP as the team won the OHL championship.
