Already down three defencemen, the St. Louis Blues have lost another as Marco Scandella left Sunday’s Game 4 due to a lower-body injury.

Scandella entered the game with the injury, and played only 1:34 in ice-time before leaving the game. St. Louis is playing without defencemen Nick Leddy, Robert Bortuzzo and Torey Krug, who got hurt on Friday night — a pair that averaged over 20 minutes of ice-time this season.

To provide some relief, the Blues activated defenceman Scott Perunovich from injured reserve before the game.

Perunovich, 23, has been out of the lineup since Jan. 16 due to a left wrist injury and has played in just 19 regular-season games for the Blues, collecting six assists.

He also played in 17 regular-season games for the Blues’ AHL affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds, where he picked up three goals and 19 assists.

The Blues entered Sunday down 2-1 to the Wild in the series.
