A couple of Eastern Conference teams are swapping prospects.
The Boston Bruins have acquired forwards Massimo Rizzo and Alexis Gendron from the Philadelphia Flyers for forward Brett Harrison and defenceman Jackson Edward, the teams announced Friday.
Rizzo, 24, has played in 29 games this season with the ECHL's Reading Royals, tallying six goals and 16 assists. The Burnaby, B.C., native was drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes 216th overall in 2019.
Gendron, 22, has spent this season in the AHL with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, tallying 10 goals and 12 assists in 47 games. He was selected in the seventh round of the 2022 draft.
Harrison, 22, has played 46 games with the Providence Bruins of the AHL this year, picking up eight goals and nine assists. He has 19 goals and 30 assists in 140 career AHL games, all with the Bruins, since being taken 85th overall in 2021.
Edward, 22, has split time between the AHL and ECHL this season. With the Maine Mariners of the ECHL, he has seven assists.
