Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak received a game misconduct and a five-minute major for hitting Rangers defenceman Ryan Lindgren from behind.
The hit occurred late in the second period. Lindgren appeared to be bleeding from his head and headed to the team's locker room immediately after the hit.
The Rangers were trailing the Bruins 1-0 at the time of the hit, but did come back to tie the game and eventually win it 2-1 in overtime.
Pastrnak is once again enjoying a terrific season, as he came into Saturday's action with 17 goals and 24 assists in 28 games.
