The Boston Bruins will bring back some forward depth next season.
Centre Patrick Brown agreed to re-sign on a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000, the team announced on Tuesday.
Brown recorded 17 goals and 29 assists in 56 games while serving as the captain of the AHL's Providence Bruins this season.
The 32-year-old also has 164 games of NHL experience with the Bruins, Ottawa Senators, Philadelphia Flyers, Vegas Golden Knights and Carolina Hurricanes. He has 26 career points (10 goals, 16 assists).
Brown, of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., originally entered the league in 2014 as undrafted free agent with the Hurricanes.
