The Bruins have liked what they've seen from one of their most recent draft picks.
Boston has signed defenceman Loke Johansson to a three-year, $2.58 million entry-level contract worth $860,000 AAV, the team announced Thursday.
Johansson, 18, is playing in his first season with the Moncton Wildcats of the QMJHL. He currently has one goal and four assists in 15 games with the junior outfit.
The Stockholm native spent last season with AIK of the Swedish J20 Nationell League, picking up five goals and eight assists in 33 games, and also made 19 appearances for AIK's senior team, tallying one assist.
The six-foot-three defenceman was selected by Boston in the sixth round (186th overall) of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.
