The Boston Bruins are adding some depth between the pipes from across the pond.
Goaltender Simon Zajicek has agreed to a one-year, entry-level contract with the club worth $872,500 at the NHL level, the Bruins announced Monday.
Zajicek, 23, has spent the last six years with HC Litvinov of the Czech Extraliga. This past season, he compiled a 15-13-0 record with a 2.12 goals against average and a .930 save percentage.
He finished the season with the best save percentage in the league and was tied for second in shutouts with five.
A native of Frydlant, Czechia, Zajicek has a 36-48-0 record, 2.68 GAA and .912 save percentage in 90 career games with HC Litvinov.
