The Boston Bruins have signed defenceman Jack Ahcan to a one-year, two-way contract, general manager Don Sweeney announced on Monday. The contract is worth $750,000 at the NHL level.
Ahcan, 25, split the 2022-2023 season between the Bruins and their AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins. He recorded his first NHL goal on March 10 against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Ahcan tallied six goals and 23 points in 46 games-played in Providence during the 2021-2022 season.
