Boston Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark has been fined $5,000 for high-sticking Tampa Bay Lightning forward Michael Eyssimont, the NHL's Department of Player Safety announced Wednesday.
The amount was the maximum allowable under the league's CBA.
The infraction took place during Tuesday's game between the two teams, which resulted in a 3-2 shootout loss for the Bruins.
After Eyssimont ended up in Ullmark's crease in the third period, the netminder took his stick up high before bringing it back down to clip his opponent's helmet.
The puck ended up in the net on the play, but the goal was immediately called off due to Eyssimont's goaltender interference.
Ullmark, 30, has a 16-6-3 record, 2.64 goals-against average and 9.17 save percentage over 26 appearances for the Bruins this season.
