The Buffalo Sabres will have some competition in goal this season, having added Eric Comrie to their netminding stable, via a two-year, $3.6-million deal on Wednesday.

Comrie comes in with Craig Anderson and Malcolm Subban both already under contract. Subban is currently on LTIR.

Comrie, a 27-year-old Edmonton native, played last season in Winnipeg, where he posted a 2.58 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage in 19 games. He has also played with the Detroit Red Wings and New Jersey Devils, posting career stats of 3.06 GAA and .905 SV% in 28 games.

Comrie was drafted 59th overall by the Jets in 2013.
