Calgary Flames sign defenceman Juuso Valimaki to two-year deal

The Calgary Flames have signed defenceman Juuso Valimaki to a new contract, the team announced on Friday.

According to Elliotte Friedman, the deal is worth two years, with a $1.55 million average annual value.

Valimaki was drafted 17th overall by the Flames in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.

The 22-year-old played 49 games in the 2020-21 NHL season, recording two goals and nine assists.
