The Montreal Canadiens have activated defenceman David Savard off injured reserve and have loaned defenceman Mattias Norlinder to the AHL's Laval Rocket.
Savard has been sidelined with a fractured hand he suffered back on Oct. 23 against the Buffalo Sabres.
The 33-year-old had registered two assists in six games and ranked third in ice time on the Canadiens averaging 20:22 before suffering the injury.
Norlinder had an assist in six games with the Canadiens averaging 12:17 of ice time. The 23-year-old also has two points in 14 games in the AHL with Laval.
