The Montreal Canadiens are shaking up their lineup despite coming off a win.
Defenceman Adam Engstrom will draw in for David Reinbacher while Jakub Dobes returns to the net in favour of Jacob Fowler on Tuesday against the San Jose Sharks, head coach Martin St. Louis told reporters.
On the blue line, St. Louis said the move did not have to do with Reinbacher's play, instead choosing to rotate both players to ensure playing time.
Engstrom, 22, is averaging 11 minutes of ice time across four games this season while being held off the scoresheet. Reinbacher, 21, played 9:09 in his season debut Saturday in a 4-3 win over the Buffalo Sabres.
Fowler made 23 saves in that victory, building on a strong start to the season in which he holds a .900 save percentage and 2.16 goals-against average.
Dobes, meanwhile, has struggled after his breakout last season, posting an .842 save percentage and 4.63 GAA in four appearances.
The Sharks are coming off a 3-1 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday.
