The Montreal Canadiens could be without their leading goal-scorer against the Ottawa Senators.
Cole Caufield is a game-time decision due to illness on Wednesday (Sportsnet, Sportsnet+, 7:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. PT), Canadiens coach Martin St. Louis told reporters.
The winger was limited in Tuesday's win over the Toronto Maple Leafs as he battled the sickness. He managed just 10:27 of playing time and sat for most of the third period.
St. Louis said following the game that, despite the illness, Caufield would still make the trip to Ottawa.
The Mosinee, Wisc., native paces the Canadiens with 37 goals in 63 games.
Montreal sits third in the Atlantic and holds the East's final wild-card spot with 80 points.
