The Montreal Canadiens will be without their leading goal-scorer against the Ottawa Senators.
Cole Caufield is not in the lineup due to illness on Wednesday (Sportsnet, Sportsnet+, 7:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. PT) after he was limited in Tuesday's win over the Toronto Maple Leafs. He managed just 10:27 of playing time against the Leafs and sat for most of the third period.
St. Louis said following the game that, despite the illness, Caufield would still make the trip to Ottawa.
The Mosinee, Wisc., native paces the Canadiens with 37 goals in 63 games.
Alexandre Texier is replacing Caufield in the line. Jayden Struble is also entering the lineup in place of Arber Xhekaj on the blueline.
Montreal sits third in the Atlantic and holds the East's final wild-card spot with 80 points.
