Petry was forced to leave Sunday’s Game 3 against the Jets early due to an upper-body injury. He played 16:02 through two periods and appeared to get his hand caught in a camera hole in the glass, which forced him to go to the dressing room.
The 33-year-old was a game-time decision on Monday.
Defencemen Xavier Ouellet and Alexander Romanov were both on the ice for pre-game warmups but Romanov was listed on the team’s lineup for the game, slotted alongside Erik Gustafsson on the third pairing. It will be Romanov’s first NHL playoff game.
You can watch the Canadiens take on the Jets as Montreal aims for the series sweep starting at 8 p.m. ET on Sportsnet and SN NOW.
