The Montreal Canadiens have place Jonathan Drouin on injured reserve. The winger is out indefinitely with an upper-body injury, the team announced on Friday.
The Canadiens also announced that Drouin has been place in precautionary isolation after having been in contact with a person who tested positive for COVID-19.
Back from an upper-body injury, Drouin had played two games — last Saturday's 5-1 win over the Ottawa Senators and Monday's 3-2 OT loss to the Boston Bruins. He did not play in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Florida Panthers.
Brendan Gallagher will miss one week of action with a lower-body injury. The veteran winger had been out of the lineup since the Habs' 4-3 overtime loss to the Dallas Stars on March 17.
