Montreal Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher will miss Thursday's game against the Rangers with a lower-body injury, the team announced.
Gallagher appeared to suffer a lower-body injury during practice in Nashville on January 2nd, but did play in the Canadiens' 6-3 loss to the Predators.
The 30-year-old has struggled to stay healthy, missing 12 consecutive games with a lower-body injury. He made his return to the Canadiens lineup on December 29.
Gallagher, the 147th overall pick in 2010 for the Canadiens, has scored four goals and notched nine points in 25 games this season.
