Montreal Canadiens forward Rafael Harvey-Pinard will not return to Thursday's game against the Arizona Coyotes after suffering a lower-body injury, the team announced.
He was hit in the second period by Coyotes defenceman Troy Stecher, sending him tumbling awkwardly into the boards, and laboured to the bench. He eventually went to the dressing room.
The 24-year-old appeared to be injured in the first period, but was able to return to the game for the second.
Harvey-Pinard had been playing alongside Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield on the Canadiens' top line, where he tallied four points in nine games.
