The Montreal Canadiens do not yet have an update on two key injured players.
Head coach Martin St. Louis was asked about the status of goaltender Samuel Montembeault and defenceman Alexandre Carrier on Monday's off-day but did not have any updates to share.
Montembeault was injured in Friday's Game 3 and was not available to start Game 4. Jakub Dobes started in goal for that game and made 21 saves in a 5-2 loss.
Carrier was injured in Game 4 on a hit from Capitals forward Tom Wilson in the neutral zone.
A more detailed update on both players is expected to be given on Tuesday after practice. Game 5 between the Canadiens and Capitals will take place on Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET/ 4 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.
The Capitals lead the series 3-1.
