Montreal Canadiens forward Jake Evans resumed off-ice training on Tuesday, according to head coach Dominique Ducharme.

Evans suffered a concussion in Game 1 of Montreal's second-round Stanley Cup Playoffs series after Winnipeg forward Mark Scheifele charged Evans as he scored on the empty Jets net in the final minute of the game.

Scheifele was suspended four games for charging Evans, who was stretchered off the ice as a result of the hit. No timeline has been announced for Evans' potential return to the ice.

The Canadiens completed a sweep of the Jets on Monday night with a 3-2 overtime victory and will play the winner of the series between the Vegas Golden Knights and Colorado Avalanche in the next round.
